Privacy Policy
OMissPearl.com uses Google Analytics, including demographic reporting. That means we use cookies to collect anonymous user data. We can’t actually tell who you are or find you, but these cookies let me tell which blog posts are the most popular and with what sort of person likes what sort of stuff.
In order to use this stuff, Google made me agree that:
You will not facilitate the merging of personally-identifiable information with non-personally identifiable information previously collected from Display Advertising features that is based on the DoubleClick cookie unless you have robust notice of, and the user’s prior affirmative (i.e., opt-in) consent to, that merger.
That means I won’t take collected info and use it to drill down and find real people or connect user data from Google Analytics to tell who you are.
Also they want me to let you know these two things:
-
The Google Analytics features you’ve implemented based on Display Advertising (e.g., Remarketing, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, the DoubleClick Campaign Manager integration, or Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting).
-
Using the Ads Settings, users can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads.
They also encourage me to point users to Google Analytics’ currently available opt-outs for the web.
If you are super paranoid, there are a number of browser extensions you can use to block tracking your visits. Thanks for your understanding and happy browsing!
(Also, that jerk move thing of selling your email addresses when you leave comments is not going to happen.)
**Extra Extra Extra Bonus Privacy Protection**
I allow for back editing if a post has included too much personally identifying information about you. So if say, you think being called a “cute grad student I met at the munch” makes it too easy to find you, I will clip out information accordingly.
Ad and Review Rules
I will disclose how I got anything I review. I accept and run ads, but these should be pretty obvious. I try to avoid anything spammy, scammy or stupid. If you notice a link or ad has gone objectionable, please do not hesitate to let me know.
If you are looking to advertise or get a review for your thing, you can get more information about how I handle it here.

If you see content of yours I shouldn’t have, send me an email and I will fix it. Don’t steal my books, videos or illustrations.
